Black Berry Pearl Features
The BlackBerry Pearl provides the perfect balance of performance, design and functionality for users who prefer traditional phone-style designs. The BlackBerry Pearl elegantly combines an incredibly small, sleek and stylish exterior, full-featured smartphone with the gold standard in wireless email and the result is something special.
The BlackBerry Pearl features include: 1.3 MP digital camera, email, browser, multimedia player and organiser all-in-one, smallest SureType™ QWERTY keyboard. With email, attachments, phone and web access it's never been easier to stay connected on the move.
Imaging
Capture your favourite moments as they happen with the 1.3 mega-pixel camera, digital zoom, and integrated flash. Switch modes and catch the action in sharp digital video. What you see is always what you get with its huge TFT high-definition display. Want to add some flare to your already brilliant images? Connect your handset to a PC via the handsets USB port and enhance your photos on your computer.
Style with elegance
The Blackberry Pearl is a smartphone device that looks more like an average mobile than an email device. It's in a slick candy bar form factor, and the metallic edgings give it a touch of class. It's got a firm weight in the hand that makes it feel solid, rather than heavy, and the piano black glossy finish gives it that extra touch of class.
Email on the go
The BlackBerry Pearl 8100 allows you to send and receive emails from your handset, so you don't have to go to the trouble of finding a pc and landline. Mobile email has never been easier. Read, write and send business or personal email from virtually anywhere, just as you would from your desktop computer. Or send and receive SMS text messages between two phones, or to any email address.
Media
The Pearl marks a number of firsts for Blackberry when it comes to media. It's the
first expandable device - a MicroSD card lives under the battery, awkwardly, meaning you can copy music and video across. There's a 1.3-megapixel camera on the back, meaning you can take rudimentary pictures - the quality is fine, on par with every other 1.3MP camera in phones, but the market has moved on to 2-megapixel or greater. The music player enables you to listen to your MP3s through the headphones, and you can also set MP3s as ringtones. This will, no doubt, appeal to hip kids looking for a portable music fix. But just who is hip enough to have a Blackberry and not an iPod?
